I remember reading this story about a sales man for Boeing Aircraft company selling a multi million dollar aircraft to one of his customers.
After looking at the specs and wonderful engineering he customer asked "So; how much is the plane?" He said "This state of the art aircraft will cost you 14 cents per passenger seat per passenger mile"
What he was saying was instead of costing millions of dollars he broke it down into a definable and understandable amount.
I always loved that story and I got thinking, what do bunk beds cost the parents? Well, I have done the maths. Our top selling Bunk Bed is the Charlene at $449. The average life of Bunk Beds are 8 years. The time spent sleeping for kids is on average 10 hours per night. So the cost of you kid sleeping in a bunk bed is 0.01 (that\'s 1 cent) per child\'s bed per sleeping hour. But there is more, that's the cost for kid for one bed. Bunk Beds are half the cost. I like to think this way when buying quality. I know there are some cheap imatation beds out there, but when you work out the life span of a bunk bed made with MDF and its cost per sleeping hour, our hight quality fully timber bunk beds are a great choice.
